Student Blog Assignment - Professor Erin Cordray is organizing a student blog assignment, and asks that faculty who are using the book to consider joining her in the activity. Please check out the informational flyer.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs is again sponsoring a Student Essay Contest--coming up in April. Please encourage students to write a short essay that illustrates a time in their lives when they felt like a refugee, like a person without a home. This wonderful contest/panel is being held on all three campuses, like last semester. The students who participated were VERY pleased with the prize and the forum. Pat Rennie of the English Department has compiled a CBC library of films all related to the themes in the book. They are available on DVD (as well as a good list of films available online) She will loan them out through campus mail. This is a new program that we are trying..
