'07 Telecourses
All Summer Session telecourses are cablecast on CCBC-TV Cable Channel 71 in Baltimore County, beginning the week of June 4 . Each lesson is aired once during the early morning hours between 1:00 and 5:00 AM , and twice during the daytime hours on different days . Some telecourses are also broadcast by Maryland Public Television on Channels 22 and 67.
PLEASE NOTE: Telecourses will not air on Cable Channel 71 on Wednesday, July 4. The schedule will resume on Thursday, July 5. Lessons scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 will not be shown on that date. Please make plans to view or record those lessons on Thursday, July 5.
The Annenberg/CPB Video on Demand service offers free video streaming for many of the CCBC telecourses. There is a one-time, free sign-up for this service. Users must have a PC with a broadband Internet connection (cable modem, DSL or LAN connection to a T1 line or greater), Windows Media Player, and JavaScript enabled. Students may also come to CCBC student computer labs to access the streamed videos. Click here for more information. See Video Options under each course below.
All telecourse video lessons are available for in-house viewing at each campus library. VHS copies of all telecourse lessons are available for check-out from the Catonsville and Essex libraries on a first-come, first-served basis. Some courses may also be available on DVD or CD-ROM (see Video Options under each course below). Check with the library on your campus for availability and policies.
By signing up with the ACT Telecourse Rental Program, you can arrange to have an entire set of most course videos delivered to you in VHS format, and in some cases, DVD or CD-ROM. ACT also delivers many courses via video streaming. There is a per-course fee for these services. Users of video streaming must have a PC with a broadband Internet connection (cable, DSL or broadband wireless), Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher, and Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher OR Netscape 6.1 or higher.
