2.  The Fluffy Lump Rescue League received a $5000 donation.  They invested part of the money in a Money Market account at 6.2% and the rest in a Certificate of Deposit at 4.1%.  After one year (simple interest) they earned $251.20.  How much money was invested in each account?

$2000 in the Money Market Account and $3000 in the CD

3. A biology student needs a mixture of 15% pure sodium.  He has one jar of sodium that is 25% pure and another jar of sterile water that contains 0% pure sodium.  How much 25% pure sodium needs to be mixed with 0% pure saline to create 100 liters of 15% pure sodium?

60 liters of 25% pure sodium and 40 liters of pure water
50 liters of 25% pure sodium and 50 liters of pure water
40 liters of 25% pure sodium and 60 liters of pure water
