ARTS 131 WCH 2D Design

Instructor Deborah Ciccarelli / Spring 2010

Course Information

Two Dimensional Design explores the creation and use of the elements and principles of design as applied to visual communication. Traditional and contemporary tools of design are introduced as students work through a variety of visual design projects. Conceptual development and creativity are emphasized. This course is designed to prepare students for intermediate-level visual arts courses in both transfer and career programs in art, design, and interactive media.

This section is different from other ARTS 131 sections because it is a hybrid course -- both online and face-to-face class sessions. This requires you to work on your own for a good portion of the semester, and assumes you are comfortable on the computer.

You would be considered a perfect fit for this section if you meet one of the following criteria:

If you do not fit any of these criteria, consider signing up for a face to face section of ARTS 131, or contact me for more help and questions on this hybrid offering (Assistant Professor Deborah Ciccarelli - dciccarelli@ccbcmd.edu).
