1) Locate the salaries for the Orioles baseball team 2005 season by using the link above Change the salaries to units of millions of dollars by dividing each number by 1000000 and rounding to one decimal place. Write your values in the table on the paper you printed out. For example 322,500 becomes 0.3, 350,000 becomes .4, and 2,600,000 becomes 2.6. There are 28 Oriole salaries.
2) Enter your changed data in a Minitab worksheet (save your worksheet preferably in an Excel dataset and copy/paste). (Stat, Basic Statistics, Display Descriptive Statistics. In the dialog box, click on statistics. Select Mean, Standard deviation, Variance, First quartile, Median, Third quartile, Interquartile range, Median, (5%) Trimmed mean, Minimum, Maximum, N nonmissing, N missing. Find the following descriptive statistics.
