Biography

• I have been a faculty member in The Criminal Justice Studies Program since 1999. Prior to that, I was a Parole and Probation Agent for the Maryland Division of Parole and Probation for 22 years. I also worked for the U.S. Probation Office in Baltimore for a year as their Training Specialist. Additional assignments include:
  • Adjunct instructor for the Maryland Transportation Authority Police Entrance level Police Academy.
  • Coordinator of the Correctional Entrance Level Training Program for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
• I received my Master of Arts degree from the University of Maryland in Instructional Sytems Development.
• Since 2007 I have been the Department Chair for the Criminal Justice Studies Program.
• I represent the Community College of Baltimore County on two state-wide committees:
  • Public member on the Maryland State Board of Victim Services
  • Chair of the Maryland Criminal Justice Consortium of College Educators
• I support the mission of the Criminal Justice System by volunteering for the Howard County Domestic Violence Center
