Professional Experience and Qualifications

My professional experience in the Criminal Justice System has been in the field of community corrections. I was a Parole and Probation Agent for 18 years with The Maryland Division of Parole and Probation. I then spent five years as their Training Officer and delivered inservice and entry level training programs for staff. Prior to coming to CCBC in 1999, I was the Training Specialist with the U. S. Probation Office in Baltimore. I currently enjoy my position as an Associate Professor in the Criminal Justice Program and am thrilled to share my educational background and professional experience with my students.

I currently coordinate the credit program for Correctional Officers who successfully complete the Entrance Level Training Program. I also coordinate the Criminal Justice Studies program on the Essex campus.
