This pair of dragonflies (Tramea sp.) are completing their reproduction. The male is flying above and the female is below. He has transfered a packet of sperm to her and is now on guard duty against rival males. She has used it to fertilize her eggs and is now dipping the tip of her abdomen into the pond as she flies. This washes the eggs off into the water.
