This club meets every Wednesday after school in room 103. The Biology Club assists in the operation of room 103, the main Biology Lab, with activities such as maintaining the aquariums, caring for other livestock such as the millipede, assisting in cleanup after labs, some inventory assistance, and occasionally equipment maintenance and repair. Club members may work with lab equipment such as the microscopes, digital camera, Labpros, and software programs.
Recent field trips have gone to Calvert County fossil collecting, the Smithsonian Institute, the National Aquarium, and insect collecting. The Biology Club assisted Maryland Save Our Streams on numerous occassions over the past years by repairing kick seines and doing water quality monitoring. (Maryland Save Our Streams recently ceased operations.)
