Communications Design Workshop - Crissa Holder-Smith, Instructor
Corporate Communications Program

Project: iMovie - Become familiar with video editing and sound techniques by
producing a two to three minute movie using Macintosh iMovie software.

Still photographic images from my professional portfolio were used in the production.

Project: Internal and External Corporate Communications - Produce both internal and external
communication pieces for a local nonprofit organization. Medium for this project is your choice,
however, each piece must be of a different medium.
Internal - Student Web Calendar
HTML printable browser based academic calendar for 2003/2004.
Photo images used in the production were produced by my former students.

External - Art Student Recruitment CD
The CD contains an 8 minute QuickTime movie depicting student projects
from the various art studio course I teach. The CD is intended to be
disributed to area high school art teachers to view with their students.
Due to the large file size, a slide show of the CD, without sound, is presented on the web.

Copies of the CD are available upon request.

Project: Public Service Announcement - Using Microsoft PowerPoint, create a one minute public
service announcement for any nonprofit organization that you feel needs national public attention.
Adbusters PSA
1 minute QuickTime Movie converted from PowerPoint presentation

Images used were scanned from back issues of Adbusters magazines.

Project: Website - Using commercial HTML software of your choice, create a three to five page website for a local nonprofit
organization that presently lacks an Internet presence.
CCBC Professionals / AFT
Fifteen page website produced by using both Macromedia's Dreamweaver software and hand coding skills.



Hypermedia: Introduction to HTML - Dr. Stuart Mouthrop, Professor
School of Information Arts and Technologies
All projects required to be hand coded and created without the aid of commercial HTML software.

Project: Weblog - Create a weblog that contain the following attributes:
1) daily / weekly entries 2) archive 3) graphical navigation bar
4) both absolute and relative links 5) page about the creator / moderator


Blog that publishes photographic images exposed using toy type cameras.

Project: Creative Website - Produce a website that contains image mapping, client pulls (slide shows)
and has a minimum of five pages.
Portfolio

Website featuring my past artistic accomplishments.

Project: Commercial Website - Produce a viable commercial website that uses
style sheets and contains a form (nonfunctioning) with entry fields.
SoBo Publications
Website that offers my photographic posters for on-line purchase.
