Professor Solomon's interests include Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Medical Ethics, Risk Management, Medico-Legal Issues, Genetics and Evidence Based Medicine. Patient safety and the quality of medical practice require the Clinician to base treatment and management of patients on anticipated positive outcomes. This minimizes risks and avoids potential negative outcomes. Many professional medical organizations regularly publish recommendations regarding management, screening and other health care and risk assessments (e.g. ACLS, cancer, immunization schedules, AIDS treatment protocols, etc.). These recommendations are based on statistically valid evidence based findings. The benefits for the practitioner in adopting these recommendations (and remaining abreast of changes) are:

Professor Solomon is a NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant, Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, past President of the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants, Professor, and past Secretary to the Physician Assistant Advisory Committee of the Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance. As a member of The Community College of Baltimore County's Speakers Bureau, Mr. Solomon is available to speak publically on a variety of medical and ethics topics.
