Easy Listening: I
saw this independent film at the Maryland Film Festival. The story
involves a want-to-be jazz trumpeter who meets a happy-go-lucky flutist
in a symphony orchestra during 1967. The budget of this film was
probably not very large and the movie showed its inadequecies. Rating 1.5
out of 4. (5/4/02)

Exit Wounds: Steven
Seagal and DMX star in this drug-dealing/crooked-cop drama. This
movie is a little lighter than previous Seagal films and their are a lot
of shooting scenes, car chases, and "who's side is he on?" moments.
I am pleased to report that Seagal has changed his broken limb of choice
from the arm to the leg. Rating 2.5
out of 4. (4/16/01)

Enemy at the Gates: Jude
Law and Ed Harris star as two military sharp-shooters on opposite sides
of the Russian/German conflict during World War II. The story mixes
the pain of war with the tactics of sharp-shooting well. The movie
would have been better without the minimal love story. Rating 3
out of 4. (3/23/01)
