CSS Project RFP

Overview

The goal of this project is create a design for an already existing XHTML page. Without worrying about the content your goal is to create a visual design experience. Your concept should be theme based and that theme should be represented in the piece through, typography, images and layout.

The page you will be designing can be found on the CGVC CSS page along with CSS designs from prior students. Read the page, look at the designs and use this as a starting point.

This project was inspired by csszengarden. Read that page and look at some of these designs for inspiration.

Formats for Submission

• CSS file with accompanying graphics zipped and emailed to me.

Project Needs for Success

• You must use at least 3 graphic elements
• Your graphics elements must be link in reference to your CSS file
• You can NOT modify the XHTML page in anyway
• You must use the CSS box model and placement to construct the page layout
• Your design is centered around a theme and is consistent
• Your design should be tested on at least 2 browsers and a written report of differences should be submitted with your project
